Book Review : The Demon Trapper's Daughter by Jana Oliver

The Demon Trapper's Daughter by Jana Oliver

Rating: 4/5 Stars ****

Great addition to the Young Adult Lit. I don't remember how I found this book to add, which is most likely due to the fact I have 3 children that are 3 and under, but I am glad I added it. It had a Vampire Academy and The Mortal Instruments feel to it. This one kept me turning the pages.

Recommend: To all those who love Paranormal books and YA books.

Likes:

*Original idea of having Demon Trappers and Demon Hunters.
*Loved the beginning with the Biblio-Fiend who pees on books. I could not stop laughing.
*Loved Beck. Is it sad that Riley (main female character) ends up dating Simon (quiet boy) but I would rather see her with Beck? I mean really I know Simon is okay, but Beck just seems more real to me. Oh well.
*Enjoyed the concept of how demons are caught.

Things I didn't like so much:

*I know that the books worked better with Riley's dad dying but really I could have done without crying. lol
*As stated before I would rather see Riley with Beck than Simon. Simon seems kinda girly to me. But atlas it is not my book so I can only hope that the next book she will swing towards Beck.

Fav. Quotes:

I'll be there for ya, girl. No matter what.

Beck took a deep breath and released it slowly. He had to stay strong for her, make the tough decisions. It was best that Paul's daughter never know how he felt about her. There'd be less hurt that way, for both of them.

Just keep her safe, God. I can settle for that.”
