Okay, I know I have said 'this book is the best so far' starting at book 2 or 3 but I have to say it again. This book is my favorite so far! We all know and love Chessiebomb and Terrible. I mean they are my favorite couple along with Zsadist and Bella from BDB and a few more.  My point it that these books are pure awesome, right? Right. Now add...Zombies to this awesomeness and you get Chasing Magic. Yes, I said Zombies! I know I never expected it to happen in this series but Stacia Kane went there and I loved it!

Recommend : Anyone who has read the Downside Ghosts series will adore this book. If you haven't given this series a try well do it.  You have nothing to loose and everything to gain by looking at life from the other side of town.

He managed to free Alani, Trace's sister, and all the other women kept locked up in the trailer in Tijuana Mexico. He also brought home a ... complication. The complications name is Molly and his protective nature seems to be in overdrive with her.

Recommend : This book rated right up there with Divergent and Angefall. It was quite original. Susan Dennard spins a tale about magic, hunters, and zombies. All you Steampunk fans will love this and those who have never read anything from that genre, well this is a good one to start with.

Before I get started you must know that this review will have rant-like tendencies. Yes, I know authors abhor such things and some reviewers detest it as well. But I can't help but want to shout that This book was awful. There is nothing that makes me more mad than buying a book that looked so promising just to have said image completely shattered. You have been warned that this review is not going to be pretty.

Now let's start from the beginning. I actually really enjoyed the beginning of the book. The beginning is part of the reason it has a little over 1 star. It was so strong and I was sucked into what was happening and couldn't wait to find out how the characters would play out their roles.

Let me share with you parts that I loved.

Recommendation : If you enjoyed Zsadist's story from BDB then give this one a try. It has the same sort of feel to it. If you liked the first two books of the Eternal Guardians series then you will like this as well.

Before I get into the review I do have to state that this review has been on my goodreads page since Sept. 5, 2010 . I have kept reading the series and have enjoyed it so far. Without further Ado I give you my review.

Recommendation : If you enjoy Vampires and Assassins mixed with Mages, Faeries and a sprinkle of Demons then this book is for you.

Recommend : If you enjoy Historical Romances then give this book a try. You don't have to read the other 4 books to enjoy this book. It can stand alone or enhance the last 4 books of the series. 

I fell in love with the Windham's from the very first book The Heir . Maggie is the oldest of the Windham daughters. She also has been  firmly put on the shelf for several years and therefore has learned to live a peaceful life in her own home with her own money. Her Grace, Maggie's stepmother, fears she will never find love and as with all her other children, for she considers her husband's child from another mother her own, she tries her hardest to play matchmaker. However this story is not put into play by Her Grace but Maggie herself and a secret she is trying desperately to keep contained.

Recommend : If you enjoy Young Adult Paranormal books about Vampires then give this a try. Julie Kagawa takes the normal vampire book and gives it a dark twist. 

The book begins with a hanging. Yes you heard right. Right off the bat we have children being hung for stealing food. The society that Julie Kagawa created reminded me of The Hunger Games in that the cities seem to be kept apart from each other and people are kept in the dark about all things. There are fences and walls keeping out the Rabids and keeping Registered and Unregistered people in. Vampires run this show though. They keep people like Cattle. If you are Registered, branded, then you get meal tickets. If you are not then you must steal and that is a hanging offence. Those that are Registered must donate blood once a month no matter what. 

Review : The Saint by Monica McCarty

To start off I just have to say that this book kept me on my feet and guessing. People die, relationships fail and some relationships build an unbreakable bond! Yet another great addition to the Highland Guards series!

Recommend: Anyone who has read the first 4 books will enjoy this book as well. If you haven't read any you can either:

 a) start reading at the beginning of the series with the book The Chief 

Or

 b) pick up this book and start in the middle of the series. 

I recommend going with option a)  but you can go with option b) .  It will still be a great read but won't be as satisfying because you don't know what has taken place in the past or how relationships have evolved.
